Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

Porchdog is an after-hours call answering service for home service businesses such as HVAC, roofing and impact window companies. Porchdog is run by its owner as a sole proprietorship based in Florida. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions go to raz.chiriac@gmail.com.

Information we collect

From business owners. When you request a pilot or sign up, we collect your business name, trade, your name, phone number and email address, and whether you agreed to receive text message alerts. We also record the IP address and browser details of form submissions to block spam.

From people who call our customers. When someone calls a business that uses Porchdog after hours, our voice assistant answers. We record and transcribe the call and collect what the caller shares, such as their name, callback number, service address and a description of the problem. We collect this only so we can pass it to the business the caller was trying to reach.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use caller information for advertising.

Text messaging (SMS)

Business owners can choose to receive emergency call alerts by text message. Opting in is optional and is not a condition of using the service. You can opt in with the checkbox on our pilot form or by confirming in writing during onboarding. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

We do not share, sell or rent your mobile number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Porchdog, including services for telephone calls, voice and speech processing, AI processing of call transcripts, text message delivery, email delivery, hosting and data storage. They process information only to provide their services to us and are not allowed to use it for their own marketing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of any person.

How long we keep it

We keep call records and account information for as long as the business uses Porchdog and for a reasonable period afterward for support and record keeping. Business owners can ask us to delete their data, or their callers' data, at any time.
